Caerlon Numbered Physical Atlas — Long Description

The atlas is a north-up physical map of Caerlon. The Sunset Gulf lies along the western and southwestern coast. The Dread Sea lies along the eastern coast. A north–south mountain system, the Silveredge Arc, rises in western-central Caerlon and divides the three western-flowing river systems from the east-flowing River Esten.

The River Valen begins on the northwestern Silveredge slopes, flows west and then southwest, and reaches the Sunset Gulf at Highharbor. The River Torin begins farther south in the Elderidge–Silveredge saddle, flows south and southwest through the Torin Bridgeholds, and reaches the Sunset Gulf south of Highharbor through the Reedgate Marshes. The Greenmantle begins in the southern Elderidge Hills, flows southwest through the Verdant Terraces, and reaches a separate sheltered inlet southeast of the Torin mouth. The River Esten begins on the eastern face of the Silveredge Arc, flows east through the Heart Plains and Harrow Gap, crosses the Scoured Marches, and reaches the Dread Sea at Estenwatch.

The principal terrain sequence from west to east is the Sunset Gulf coast, Crownward Uplands and western river country, the Silveredge Arc, the Heart Plains, Harrowline Ridge, the Scoured Marches, the Dread Sea Lowlands, and the Dread Sea coast.

Sixteen numbered markers identify continent-scale locations. Numbers 01–08 are core sites: Highharbor, Crownward Seat, Torinbridge, High Silver Gate, Silveredge Gatehold, Heartplain Assembly Halls, Fort Harrowline, and Estenwatch. Numbers 09–16 are secondary sites: Valen Crown Bridge, Northchain Hold, Stonewake Hold, Lowspan Hold, Reedgate Hold, Verdant Court, New Bellweather, and Bellweather Ford.

The map is a relative-position atlas and is not drawn to a fixed measured scale. It does not show roads, political borders, military jurisdictions, or current Scoured Marches conditions.
