Low Docks
Low Docks is Windrider Freeport’s small-craft working waterfront.
It begins where the deepwater geometry that supports High Docks stops being useful. The harbor bottom rises, the quay edge breaks into shorter piers and stepped landings, and vessels that would be inefficient or impossible to handle at a formal deepwater berth become the dominant traffic.
Fishing boats, ferries, harbor lighters, small traders, passenger cutters, work skiffs, coastal craft, and boats carrying only a few tons of cargo move through Low Docks continuously. Larger ships use High Docks. Low Docks moves the people, food, labor, messages, and smaller loads that keep those ships and the rest of Windrider connected.
